1672 to 1698
The
war of France continued with ups and downs. Sometimes one party was winning was
winning & sometimes the other one. But it is an important event of 1672 B.C
about authors that these political authors being in their own country were not
allowed to publish any liberal writing. Therefore they migrated from France
& went to Holland. These authors in the asylum of Holland could write
whatever they want. Then in 1685 France cancelled its own laws and issued the
new ones according to which:
- Nobody in France will follow a new religion.
- All the children will be given the teachings of catholic religion.
- Such person who follows the new religion cannot go out of the country.
Beside
all the laws nearly fifty thousand families left France and went to reside in
other countries which included military leaders, scholars and famous
industrialists. This displacement of the people caused great harm to the
country.
Once
again the war started in 1688 and continued till 1697. This league is known as
” The league of Augsburg”. Actually the cancellation of
old laws affected the whole Europe, as a result of which a great bunch of power
was formed against France an due to this reason France was defeated. Victory
& defeat carried on these wars. Sometimes France won & sometimes “The
League”. At last on 30th December 1698 a peace treaty was signed b/w
France, Holland, England & Spain.
