Customs and traditions represent
culture.They not only tells about the past events and changes but they make us
capable of remaining united on the basis of identity. Commonly customs and
traditions are taken in a negative sense. The reason given for it is that as
these customs and traditions are a part of the past therefore they are
hackneyed. In the same way the people who are staunch supporters of principles
of customs and traditions are said to be the possessors of old thinking,
because there is no reply or reason, just do and die.
Customs & traditions are
right or wrong? No argument in this context. The question is that how much
importance these customs and tradition possess or should be given.
We hear that “holidays”and we
know religious holidays like Muslim Eid & Happy Easter or social holidays like international Labor
Day are given each year. These events and many other things related to customs
and tradition are linked in such a way that nobody can deny or ignore it.
Example the traditional food, dress, style, wedding ceremonies, education even
these customs and tradition plays main role in movement & meeting others.
Now further going ahead these
customs and tradition effect the state, e.g. tradition link a person to person,
family to family, community to community on the basis of which a strong state
comes into being.Due to these customs and traditions the selling of various
accessories takes place and this way the state’s business is promoted; central
rules and regulations are also formed which are imposed on everybody. That is
why it is said that due to these customs some cultures have become the example
of a best society.
